For GDPR, websites need to tell the visitor what information is being collected when they complete an enquiry form on the website (e.g name, address, email etc) and crucially what this information is used for and how long it is stored. The website should also give details on who the contact is, if they wish to have this information removed. Privacy policies can include extra information on how the business stores other information gathered on the phone or via emails.
