Many businesses find that the beginning of a year is a great time to review your website and think about improvements you can make for the year ahead. Here are a few things to think about:
Are all the basics correct? This is a great place to start – checking things like whether your website has the correct contact details – address, email and phone numbers – so that potential customers can make contact.
Is the website branding correct? Does your website have the correct logo on it – is the website using the same fonts and branding as your other marketing materials. Sometimes companies change their branding and logo, but forget to make those updates to their website too.
The content ! Absolutely crucial – but often forgotten. Perhaps you wrote the content for your website a few years ago and haven’t really made any changes since then, other than adding a few news blogs. It’s a great idea to visit your website as if you are a potential customer and see if the content reflects your business as it is today. Are all of your services covered by the content? Does the website send out the message you want? Can a potential customer tell what your main services/businesses are from your site?
SEO Can your customers find you on google? Are your competitor’s appearing above yours? If this is the case, then it is probably time to take action on your own website.
