So you have a wordpress website – perhaps it was created a while ago. Are you taking full advantage of your business website and letting it work for you? Can your customers find your website?
Does your website work on a mobile or a tablet?
Depending on how old your website is – then this may not be the case.
It is easy to see if your site is mobile friendly or not – just go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/ and enter your URL to find out.
Why make your website mobile friendly?
Simple answer – because Google wants us to – and this means that non-mobile friendly websites are effected in the way Google ranks them on the search engine results page.
Google says “The version that’s not mobile-friendly requires the user to pinch or zoom in order to read the content. Users find this a frustrating experience and are likely to abandon the site. Alternatively, the mobile-friendly version is readable and immediately usable.”
OK – so how do I make my business website mobile friendly?
This really depends on how your website has been set up in the first place – it can require a theme update (for wordpress websites) or a rewrite – if your website is hardcoded with HTML.
